About MHA Omaha
Like many groups, the original purpose of MHA was mainly social. Consisting primarily of hoteliers, members would meet once per month for lunch to discuss business. At this time, MHA was called Greater Omaha Lodging Association (GOLA). In 2001, the name was changed to Metropolitan Hospitality Association (MHA) in an effort to more accurately reflect the newly expanded goals for addressing hospitality issues, not only for Omaha, but for the entire metropolitan area including Council Bluffs, Sarpy County and surrounding communities.
